GOOD FRIDAY!

We continue practising the Past Continuous tense.
Remember that we use the Past Continuous to talk about 
1. parallel past actions with AND
2. Interrupted actions with WHILE / WHEN

1.To start with, open your Class book on page 95.
1.Listen to the chat between Rami and Tomas and follow the text in your book.
2. Read the chat once again aloud.
3. While reading, identify the travel words mentioned in the text. Write them down in the blog.
4. Find examples of the Past Continuous with WHILE and AND in the chat and say whether the actions were happening at the same time or one action interrupted another.
5. After you read answer the questions in the blog:
a) Who lost their toy?
b) Where were the boarding passes?
c)  What did Rami's mother do?

2. Now open your Activity book and complete exercises 1,2,3.
1. Listen and number the pictures in order.

2. Complete the sentences with when, while or and.
Remember: we can use both WHILE and WHEN to talk about the interrupted action: 
-While I was going through the metal detector, it beeped!
-When I was going through the metal detector, it beeped!
OR
- The metal detector beeped while I was going through it.
- The metal detector beeped when I was going through it.

But also we can use WHEN for the past simple action that interrups. 
- I was going through the metal detector when it beeped.
- I was checking in my luggage when I realized I didn't have my passport.
- Estaba facturando mi equipaje cuando me di cuenta de que no tenía mi pasaporte.
As you see, the structure is similar to the Spanish one.
