WHAT CAN WE DO TO STAY HEALTHY?
In today's session we're going to learn about the importance of good sleep for our health.
To start with, answer these questions. Share your answers in the blog.
1. How many hours do you sleep a night?
2. Do you sleep more at weekends?
3. Have you ever missed a night's sleep ot stayed up till late at night?
4. How do you fell the next day?
To find out more about sleep, open your Classbook on page 81 and listen and read an article 2 "Sleep". Click to listen to→👂AUDIO 120
Before reading, look up the meaning of the following words in a dictionary → 👀Wordreference and write the definitions in your notebook:
- grumpy -
- clumsy -
READ THE TEXT ALOUD (EN VOZ ALTA)!
After you read, complete exercise 3 on page 81 (Classbook).
Read, correct the mistakes and write the true statements in your notebook.
Now let's find out what things can stop us sleeping well.
Open your Activity book on page 73.
Exercise 1. Look at the pictures👀. What things, in your opinion, can prevent you from sleeping?
Now listen to the 👂→ AUDIO 121 and check whether your ideas coincide with those from the audio.
Exercise 2
Small project:
Make a leaflet (folleto) about the importance of sleep on a piece of paper A4.
In your leaflet you should explain:
- why sleep is important (one or two sentences).
- write 5 tips for good sleep.
Use Imperative tense to give advice. For example,
-Have a regular bedtime routine!
-Don't drink coffee before goint to bed!
You can use the sentences from the text "Sleep" from the classbook and ideas from the Audio 121.
Be creative, illustrate your leaflet. You can use computer software, digital applications to make your leaflet. Take a picture of your leaflet and e-mail it to me.
The deadline for this work is Friday, 8th May.
