In this unit we are going to learn about important  discoveries and inventions and how they have changed our lives.
Do you know what the word "technology" means?
Look up the meaning of the word in the dictionary WORDREFERENCE and write down the definition in your notebook:

We use technology every day in many different ways. At home we use a lot of different machines and gadgets that help us cook and clean the house. We also use technology for entertainment and to study.

You're right it's a MICROWAVE OVEN! It's one of the first microwaves that were used to prepare food. The first microwaves were huge! Can you imagine one of these in your kitchen?

  2. I think number one is a telephone, number two is a mixer, number three is an iron and number four could be a radiator. I'm right?

    1. Well done Miriam! You are right in 1, 2, 3. The object in the picture 4 looks like a radiator and it heats a lot, but it isn't. It's quite smaller and you can put it on the table. I think most of the people use it in the morning to prepare breakfast... any idea?

  3. i think in the picture 1 is a telephone, in the picture 2 is a mixes, in the picture 3 i thik is a iron because it has the shape of the iron, and in the picture 4 i think is a old fireplace.
